A car that I had never seen

I've been watching cars for about 40 years, and it is rare that I see a car that I couldn't identify. But this past Sunday, at the fast-growing Elm Bank Classic Car Show in Dover, I came across this one:

Clearly an Alfa Romeo, but small and ... ahem ... not very attractive. The size and proportions are reminiscent of a SAAB Sonnett III. The detailing, very '70s Italian.

The interior, classic Alfa, arms-out driving with the gear lever at a 45 degree angle.

The answer? A 1972 Alfa Romeo Zagato Junior 1300.
